We were introduced to another model this week. This time around was ADDIE model. Of course, I paid attention to it rightaway for I wanted to know more of teaching phases every teacher goes through in the teaching life.
I was very much agreed with the phases in the model.
Analysis > Design > Development > Implementation > Evaluation
This is very true for i feel that every teacher needs to understand his or her students' need. For example, a particular student who is very kinesthetic may need lessons which involve much movement to promote learning. When the teacher realises this, of course, he or she needs to design a lesson which can make the student learn. I was told that at this stage, a teacher may have to start creating the storyboard on how to deliver the topic of the lesson for the day. This is the busiest stage, I feel for i have undergone so much of developing materials. Materials still require much work regardless of teachnological and non technological types. Of course, after the materials are designed, the teacher reached the implementation stage when the materials were integrated and used in the lesson. And lastly, evaluation phase arrived whereby both the students and the teacher evaluate. In short, I alreeady knew well of all the phases for I have been sent to school to do the real teaching. All those phases I went through with much hurdles. Thus it was impossible for me to not remember all these phases well. Haha..
All in all, I could help myself but to agree much with ADDIE model and I believe every teacher does practise it in their everyday teaching.
