This was finally the day I have been waiting for. I brought my work along and could not wait to present my work to the tutors for Dr maznah was not around. Since Dr maznah was not around, the form of our presentation was different this time. We were asked to group together with our group members and we were to compile our work together before showing them to the tutors. Thankfully, we managed to compile everything the fastest and since Abang HAfiz happened to be nearby, we asked for his comments. I was in fact the most nervous one for my file was the first one to be viewed. My background was not bright enough and brightness was needed to allow the pictures and the words on the slides to be seen clearly. Besides, the pictures and the words were not big enough. I failed to consider the fact that there are many pupils in a class. How could i not consider this? And thankfully, Abang Hafiz reminded me of this and i could not thank him enough. To add, I felt ashamed of myself for a stupid mistake I made - I forgot to write out the objectives and learning outcomes of my lesson.
Of course, he taught me something unforgettable. He introduced me a free website to convert any videos into any format you wishes. It is:
http://www.zamzar.com
Try to use this free website next time instead of downloading a software. This website will do the converting work for you and send the converted file to your mail. it is so much more convenient. And I believe all teachers who prepare technological aids may need to do the converting work.
All in all, the talk between Abang Hafiz and I was a lot helpful. And of course, i would do and amend my work based on his advice and hopefully it would turn out to be the way Dr Maznah wishes to see.

SMARTBOARD Presentation
Today was the day when we needed to present our smartboard work. I found Wai's work was awesome. She integrated much of smart board tools in her work. There was in fact too much to do. The only thing Dr Maznah was dissatisfied with was the fact that she put too much thing in a slide. Dr made her changed and amended her work. All in all, all the presenters needed to amend their work. Thus, an extra week was given to us all to amend our work. However, it was so unfortunate for our group for we were not given to chance to present our work. This was due to the lack of time. It was quite impossible for us all to present all our work in 3 hours.
Back to my college, I headed straight to my work and I found every possible ways to amend my work to make it better. Honestly, I learned a lot from the comments given by Dr Maznah. Though I learned a lot, I found it hard for me to apply all of them in my work. I used up a few hours trying to amend my work up to Dr Maznah's satisfaction. To my surprise, the latest news about us given 2 extra week instead of only a week lighted up my spirit. Yeah... I have the opportunity to show my work to either Dr Maznah or the tutors.
So, there is not much i can do now but to wait for the coming comments next week. Hopefully, my work is up to their standards and even if it is not, I still have a week to amend my work based on their coming comments. There is still time for I have done my work. No procrastination this time around. And I feel good about it.
AND I am waiting and keep waiting for the coming comments....

ADDIE MODEL
We were introduced to another model this week. This time around was ADDIE model. Of course, I paid attention to it rightaway for I wanted to know more of teaching phases every teacher goes through in the teaching life.
I was very much agreed with the phases in the model.
Analysis > Design > Development > Implementation > Evaluation
This is very true for i feel that every teacher needs to understand his or her students' need. For example, a particular student who is very kinesthetic may need lessons which involve much movement to promote learning. When the teacher realises this, of course, he or she needs to design a lesson which can make the student learn. I was told that at this stage, a teacher may have to start creating the storyboard on how to deliver the topic of the lesson for the day. This is the busiest stage, I feel for i have undergone so much of developing materials. Materials still require much work regardless of teachnological and non technological types. Of course, after the materials are designed, the teacher reached the implementation stage when the materials were integrated and used in the lesson. And lastly, evaluation phase arrived whereby both the students and the teacher evaluate. In short, I alreeady knew well of all the phases for I have been sent to school to do the real teaching. All those phases I went through with much hurdles. Thus it was impossible for me to not remember all these phases well. Haha..
All in all, I could help myself but to agree much with ADDIE model and I believe every teacher does practise it in their everyday teaching.

ASSURE MODEL
Honestly, I have not started doing smartboard yet. I did not even bother to start it. What were the reasons? Shouldn't I stop practising procrastination after the lesson I learned from the first assignment? Had I not suffered enough? Well, the reasons were:
1. I just love to procrastinate.
2. There were two weeks more.
3. There might be lessons exposing to me some good examples of lessons regarding smartboard.
These reasons made my second assignment still unattended. I did feel bad whenver i thought about it. I knew i would suffer later but those reasons prevented me from beginning it.
Sadly, my assumption was wrong when one of the tutors named Miss Chin started this week's lecture by introducing us to a model named ASSURE model. I was a little bit disappointed for no guidance was given regarding to the smartboard assignment. Thus, it was quite impossible to allow myself concentrate on the lecture. Honestly, I did not even bother to know what the model was. But my attention was successfully grabbed when Dr Maznah continued the lecture by telling us what each letter of 'ASSURE' represents. Each letter represents the stages involved in the learning process. I found it awesome for it was thoughful of her to think of this. This summarised everything about the model in a way. I listened to it and the awe governed everything. All of us seemed to pay attention to the model.
From this model, I realised that it was insufficient to teach based on books only. In other words, this model showed how much it was better to incoporate both out-of-class resources with technology to come up with the best possible teaching materials. Most importantly, this model promotes different teaching approaches namely focusing on variety students' learning styles and constructivism. These approaches accompanied with the materials said earlier enable teachers to ensure much learning to take place in the students. This is definitely a big achievement for the objective of every lesson is to make sure that students learn.
All in all, I learned something big in teaching life. Teachers' biggest success only happens when the students learn something from the lessons. Thus, any possible ways need to be used and applied by teachers to make sure students learn. And I think this model is created for this reason. I will of course apply this model in my future teaching.
